WORCESTER – Oscar Rivera Rosario, 73, of Worcester, died Saturday, April 27, 2019 at UMass Memorial – Lake Ave surrounded by his loving family. He leaves a son, Danny O. Rivera of Putnam, CT; five daughters, Kim M. Rivera of Springfield, MA, Joanne R. Soares of Manchester, NH, Joyce Rivera of Worcester, Julia D. Rivera of Worcester and Lesley Rivera of Manchester, NH; a brother, Angevin Rivera of Worcester, a sister, Carmen Melendez of New York; 12 grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was born in Manati, Puerto Rico, son of Francisco Rivera and Amelia Rosario.

Oscar was a maintenance worker for a local cleaning company. He was a loving, caring man, he loved helping people and would give you the shirt off his back. Oscar was well known and loved by many in Worcester, Leominster, Fitchburg and Southbridge.

A funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 10:00 am at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be held Monday, May 6 from 5 – 7 pm at the funeral home.
