OBITUARY Ovalene L. Davis October 1, 1926 – January 14, 2019 Ovalene Larene Davis, age 92, passed away Jan. , 14, 2019. Ovalene was a kind and sweet woman, who was outgoing and loved a good conversation.

Her life was centered around her family, especially her grandchildren; she loved spending time with them and it made her happy to have them near. She taught herself how to paint and created many pieces her family will continue to enjoy. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Davis; daughter, Bette Mercer; and sisters, Bernice Bohannon and Eunice Jay. She is survived by her sons, Jerald (Sharon) and Terry Davis; sister, Zola Adams; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren. Ovalene’s visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wed.

Jan. 16, 2019, and her Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thurs. Jan.

17, 2019, both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Hwy 54, Wichita, KS 67209. FAMILY Jerald Davis, Son Sharon Davis, Daughter-in-law Terry Davis, Son Zola Adams, Sister James “Jim” Davis, Husband Bette Mercer, Daughter Bernice Bohannon, Sister Eunice Jay, Sister Ovalene also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren to cherish her memory.
