OBITUARY Owen Cloyd Ashbaugh August 12, 1929 – September 9, 2018 Owen Cloyd “Red” Ashbaugh, age 89, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018. Owen was born August 12, 1929 in Grover Hill, Ohio to the late David Lawrence and Cora Pauline Ashbaugh. Red loved gathering with his family at Lake Sinclair and being on the boat.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing with the seniors at Summit Chase Golf Course. Red retired as a plant manager from Aeroquip Corporation after 35 years. Owen is survived by his loving wife of 68 years: Cara Lou Ashbaugh; daughters: Debby (Steve) Snyder, Diane (Bill) Shearer, Donna (Harold) Utt; grandchildren: Erica (Jay) Morris, Lora (René Sejas) Synder, Andy Shearer, Shelly (Nick) Smith; great grandchildren: Katie Morris, Cara Morris, Addy Kate Shearer, Lincoln Smith, Kane Smith; brother: Doyle Ashbaugh and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A Funeral Service for Red will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, GA. , with Rev. Steve Mason officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The family would like to invite all attendees for a light lunch following the service.
