Pamela Jean Rankin Hanson, an Arizona Native, passed away peacefully surrounded by family May 27 at the age of 67 as the result of respiratory complications due to pneumonia and cardiac arrest. She was the daughter of William H. Rankin, Nancy B. McCollough and Kenneth E. McCollough. She is a graduate of Gilbert High School and attended Mesa Community College.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert McCollough. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Larry Hanson, and siblings Jim (Coleen) McCollough, Karen Tiffany, Terry (Neil) Barwick, Shirley (Ron) Knight, sister-in-law Lorrie Lilly Toliver, brothers-in-law Ted (Sandy) Hanson and Tom Hanson. She comes from a ranching and farming background which taught her responsibility and resilience.

She and her husband worked side-by-side in their crop-dusting business, raised exotic birds, investing in real estate, tax preparation, and numerous other endeavors. They lived in Queen Creek for 35 years before moving to Roosevelt. They enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

She was a genuine, sincere, caring person, a daughter, wife, and friend. Our memories of her will be cherished forever. No services are planned at this time.
