OBITUARY Pamela Marie Thomas June 30, 1952 – October 19, 2018 Pamela Marie Pitts Thomas was born June 30, 1952 to Connie Marie Dawson Pitts and Robert Eldon Pitts in Wichita, Kansas. She went to elementary school in Wichita, Kansas and Viola, Kansas. She was valedictorian of her 8th grade class at Viola.

She graduated from Wichita South High School, Wichita, Kansas December, 1969. Her mother married Richard W. Malloy in 1957. Pamela was married to David Eldon Thomas in September of 1969 in Haysville, Kansas.

There were two children born of that marriage, Richard Eldon Thomas and Melissa Marie Thomas Robbins. Pamela worked at several places in Wichita; Walcher Metal Treatment, Central Heat and Air-Conditioning Co., Model Clothing Company. In 1977 she and her husband moved to Coffeyville, Kansas where she was a pastor’s wife and worked for Coffeyville School District.

They later served churches in Weir, Kansas; Purcell, Missouri; Duenweg, Missouri; Galena, Kansas and Webb City, Missouri. She attended Coffeyville Community College, Coffeyville, Kansas after the birth of her two children as a non-traditional student. She graduated from Pittsburg State University in the early 80’s with a BA in Psychology and worked on a Master’s program in child psychology.

She worked as a Teacher in the Webb City School system for 16 years. In 2000, the Thomas’ moved to Kansas City, Missouri. Pamela went to work for Rainbow Apparel where she worked until retiring from a position of District Manager in September 2017 due to cancer.

She had battled cancer for the past six years. She was currently working as an office manager for Good Life Nutrition Health and Wellness Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Preceding her in death was her Step-Father, Richard W. Malloy; father, Robert Pitts; Step-Mother, Loraine Pitts; Step-Brothers, William Malloy and Michael Malloy; Step-Sister, Judy Malloy.

She is survived by Husband, David Eldon Thomas of the home, Kansas City, Missouri; Son, Richard Eldon (Melissa Turchek Thomas) Thomas of Oronogo, Missouri; Daughter, Dr. Melissa Marie (Dennis A. Robbins) Thomas Robbins of Kansas City, Missouri; Mother, Connie Marie Malloy of Kansas City, Missouri; Sister, Barbara Andersen of Kansas City, Missouri; Brother, Larry Eldon Pitts of Kansas City, Missouri; Half-Sister, Diane Malloy Brown Whattam of Arizona; seven Grandchildren, Reece Simmons, Tessia (Matthew) Bowen, Jessie Simmons, Drake Robbins, Austin Thomas, Jake Bay and Maddie Bay; Great-Grandchild, Adele` Bowen and many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Funeral service is 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Resthaven Mortuary, with visitation one hour prior.
