OBITUARY Pasqualina A Stankus January 7, 1923 – October 14, 2018 Pasqualina Stankus of 915 Park Avenue Bound Brook, NJ passed away peacefully Sunday October 14 at Bridgeway’s Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bridgewater, NJ. Pasqualina was born in 1923 in Brooklyn, NY to Letitia and Anthony Nunziata and married Albert Stankus in 1946 who passed in 2008. She worked as a shipping clerk during World War II from 1942-1945 in Brooklyn, NY.

She lived in Brooklyn with her husband Albert and three sons Kenneth, Gregory, and Mark until 1989 when she and Albert moved to Bound Brook, NJ. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was best known for her ability to duplicate family favorites in the kitchen, in particular, her lasagna and rice balls. Her sense of humor and quick-wit was consuming in all the best ways.

Her big heart and encyclopedia of a mind entertained and amazed everyone who met her. Surviving Pasqualina are her three sons Kenneth, Gregory, and Mark; daughter-in-law’s Janice and Jill; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one step-great grandchild. The wake will be held Wednesday October 17 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Cusimano and Russo Funeral Home 2005 West 6th Street Brooklyn, NY.

The funeral mass will be held Thursday October 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Church of Saints Simon and Jude 185 Van Sicklen Street Brooklyn, NY and will be said by her son Rev. Gregory Stankus. The burial will be at Saint John Cemetery in Middle Village, NY.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Catholic Charities Nonprofit Organization.
