Patricia Ann Howard March 27, 1933 – December 10, 2017 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Patricia Ann (Smith) Howard, age 84 of Lenoir City and formerly of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017. Born to the late Edward Hurd and Jessie (Turner) Smith in Knoxville.

Pat was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School who went on to work as a draftsman at Y-12 in Oak Ridge. She met and married her husband George L. Howard and began homemaking with the birth of their daughter. She was a member of Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Powell.

Upon her husband’s retirement, she and George built a cabin home at “Top of the World” in Tallassee, TN where they enjoyed living for 15 years before returning to Knoxville. She most recently resided at River Oaks Place in Lenoir City where she became a staff favorite. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George L. Howard, her sister, Mona Ray McMahan and nephew, Charles Edward McMahan.

She is survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Mel Hines, Loudon; nephews, Dee Higgins and Ricky McMahan; sister-in-law, Lillian Howard Higgins. Services honoring and remembering Pat Howard will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday in the Mausoleum Chapel of Sherwood Memorial Gardens, 3176 Airport Rd. Alcoa.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are members of the Loudon County Sheriff’s Department deputies and staff. In lieu if flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Howard may be made to the Loudon County Humane Society, P.O. Box 602, Lenoir City, TN 37771.
