Westfield-Patricia Anne (Shannon) Hopkins, 71, died Thursday, April 19th 2018 comfortably at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Holyoke on July 28, 1946 to the late William J. and Helen (Chojnowski) Shannon. Pat was a lifelong resident and attended local schools and was a 1964 graduate of Westfield High School.

She attended Northampton Commercial College for 2 years. Pat was a para professional for 20 years for the Westfield School System. She enjoyed her time in Maine, traveling to Europe and South America and dining out with the girls.

She also had a love for animals. Pat leaves her son Jeffrey L. Hopkins and her daughter Sarah E. Hopkins both of Westfield. She also leaves several cousins and was pre-deceased by her brother William J. Shannon in 2011.

The funeral will be held on Monday at 6 pm at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. Calling hours will be held from 3-6 pm before the service on Monday. Donations in memory of Pat may be made to the American Cancer Society, 59 Bobala Road, Holyoke, MA 01040.
