Patricia Mardelle Dusenberry, 30, of Davenport, IA, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, November 17th, 2018, surrounded by family at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, IA. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 26th at Rock Island National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her mother, Pamela LaRose. Those wishing to attend should meet at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, 644 River Drive, Bettendorf, IA at 9:15 a.m. A celebration of life will be held following the service at Bettendorf Christian Church, 3487 Towne Pointe Dr., Bettendorf, IA.

If attending the celebration of life, please bring a covered dish or side dish to share, sandwiches will be provided. Thank you! Cremation will take place at Caldwell Parrish, Urbandale, IA.

McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, IA, will escort her remains to the National Cemetery. Patty was born on June 12th, 1988 in Iowa City to Pamela LaRose and John Dusenberry. She was a resident of the Quad City Area her entire life.

Patty attended school in North Scott and Bettendorf school districts. A graduate of Bettendorf High School in 2009, Patty was a member of the Handicap Development Center and New Choices Incorporated communities. She participated in Special Olympics in many different events over the years.

Patty was a feisty soul who enjoyed being the center of attention. Ever the social butterfly, Patty made a friend of everyone she met. Patty especially loved her family and desired for nothing more than to be with them.

She was “adopted” into her sister in law’s family and loved Becky’s parents and siblings very much. An avid country music fan, she enjoyed attending concerts and singing along with every song. Patty was a girly-girl who loved getting her hair and nails done.

She loved everything Disney made from cartoons to movies to television shows. She was the life of the party wherever she went and she loved to go, go, go. Patty was preceded in death by her mother, Pamela C. LaRose, her grandfathers, Clifford E. LaRose, Joseph M. Dusenberry, and her grandmother, Mardelle H. Dusenberry.

Her survivors include her guardians and brother and sister in law Joseph E. Dusenberry (Rebecca), Ankeny, IA; her father, John Dusenberry, Eldridge, IA; her brothers Clifford A. LaRose, Davenport; and Dakota W. Dusenberry Eldridge, IA; her beloved nephews, Benjamin and Owen Cann-Dusenberry; as well as her grandmother, Eleanor A. LaRose, Kelso, WA; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to her guardians to assist with funeral and celebration of life expenses.
