Lisa J. Schmitz, 51, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away on October 31, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the services on Saturday at the funeral home. Private family committal services will be in Oakdale Memorial Gardens in Davenport.

Please wear a cowboy hat and/or bandanna at the services to honor Lisa’s memory. Lisa was born April 7, 1967 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Robert & Joan (Harvey) Eckerman. She was a graduate of Bettendorf High School where she participated in choir and theater.

Lisa had been a professional server at Laschet’s Inn in Chicago where she was a favorite waitress to many. Her bubbly personality along with her animated renditions of Happy Birthday will be fondly remembered. She enjoyed music and was able to brighten anyone’s day.

Those left to honor her memory include her sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherrie & Kevin Light of Davenport, Shelly & John Hetner of Chicago, Illinois and Shannon Bell-Eckerman & James Robinson of Davenport; Her “Sissys” Samantha, Kelley and Alexis; and her “Bro-Bros” Jacob, Charlie, Connor, Jeremiah, Andrew and Derek.
