James “Jae” “Jamie” P. Fisher, 49, of LeClaire, Iowa passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at his residence. A gathering to celebrate Jamie’s life will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of Scott County or to the LeClaire Fire Department.

Jamie was born on February 5, 1969 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of William and Patricia (Kipper) Fisher. In 1987 he graduated from Pleasant Valley High School. He worked at the former President River Boat Casino until their closing and later at SSAB until 2016.

Most recently he farmed in the LeClaire area. Jamie had several hobbies which included soy candle making, canning, and salsa making. He was a fan of Star Wars, Star Trek, Dr. Who, and NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon and Mark Martin.

The Quad City Mallards and the Minnesota Vikings were two of his favorite teams. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Fisher of LeClaire; parents, Bill and Pat Fisher of LeClaire; daughter, Tiffany (Patrick) Biegert of Belle Fourche, South Dakota; son, Matthew Fisher of LeClaire; sister, Missy “Sissy” (Dan) Ion of Princeton, Iowa; four nieces, Amanda Ion of Maysville, Iowa, Madison Ion of Bettendorf, S.J. “Tiny Tot”, Lilly; and five fur-grandchildren, Jack, Littlefoot, Nitro, Sawyer, Sarah. He was preceded in death by a son, Zachary Francis; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and his cat, Zoey.
