Patricia Elaine Vigil, age 63, was embraced by our Lord Jesus on Thursday, June 14, 2018 and taken to her heavenly home. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and countless friends. She was born on March 17, 1955 in Hawthorne, Nevada to Arsenio Gallegos and Lillian Glover Gallegos.

They moved to Cerro, New Mexico in September 1962. She married Wilfred Manuel Vigil on April 27, 1973 and they raised five children. They moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico in 1989.

Patricia loved singing, writing poetry, sewing, gardening, camping, giving out Bibles and spreading the Word of God. She played guitar and sang beautifully. She loved spending time with her children, but most of all with her soulmate and best friend, her husband.

They loved to go out to eat and shop for tools and hobby supplies. Patricia was preceded in death by her father Arsenio Gallegos, mother Lillian Gallegos Franco and step-father Nolasco Franco. She is survived by her husband Wilfred Vigil, son Elmer Vigil and wife Charlotte, son Jason Vigil and wife Anna, daughter Natirra Bieth and husband Michael, son Jarrod Vigil and wife Regina, daughter Sabrina Luna and husband Alfonso Jr.; grandchildren: Leah (Nick) Lara, Arian (Tim) Murillo, Axel Vigil, Shay Perez (Marcie Villa), Isaiah Vigil, Alfonso Luna III, Jeremiah Vigil, Tucker Vigil, Austin Bieth, Mateo Luna, Sebastian Vigil, Osias Bieth, Leilah Vigil, Elaina Luna, Vicente Luna; great-grandchildren: Kiri Perez and Zaiyne Murillo.

Also surviving are her siblings: Roberta Jones, Edith (Steve) Leslie, Narda Gallegos, Norman Gallegos, Vernon (Gennie) Gallegos, Nadine Vigil, Holly Gallegos, Iris (Jerry) Doerr, Natalie Gallegos, Nathan Gallegos, and Matthew (Jamie) Bailon; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Monday, June 18, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 10:00 am at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. The family will gather for a meal at Sunset Church of Christ, 1308 W. Blodgett Street after the services. Pallbearers are Elmer Vigil, Jason Vigil, Jarrod Vigil, Shay Perez, Isaiah Vigil, Alfonso Luna III and Sebastian Vigil.
