Patricia Fae Richards, age 68, of Carson City, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. The daughter of Paul Gerald & Ellen Elizabeth (Anderson) Flowers, she was born on June 30, 1950, in Alma . On April 15, 1988, in Carson City, she married David J. Richards and together they enjoyed over thirty years of marriage and raised two children.

For thirty-five years, Patricia was a dedicated teacher in the Carson City Crystal Area Schools and also taught Sunday School Classes for over fifty years at churches in St. Louis, Crystal and Carson City. Although a true woman of God and ministering to children, her family was her greatest joy. She was preceded in death by her parents; her identical twin sister, Pamela Mae Flowers; two children in God’s keeping; her father-in-law, Donald Richards; and a sister- in law, Judy Richards.

Surviving are her husband, David; their children, Mark D. & Kelli Richards of Greenville and Emily E. Richards of Carson City; two grand children, Colton Richards and Mariana Garrido-Richards; two sisters, Rebecca S. Flowers of Carson City and JoEllen E. & David Harrison of St. Louis; her nieces and nephews, Matt (Megan), Stacy, Brian (Katie), Alex, Addie, Nathan, Mike, Jason, and Lisa; David’s siblings, Donald & Carey Richards, Doug & Patti Richards, Diane & Dick White, Dale Richards, and Jennifer & Mike Schlaud; as well as several great-nieces and nephews and special friends. Visitation with the family is from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Crystal Congregational Church (300 S. Main St., Crystal) where memorial services will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Ried Martin pastor of the Crystal Congregational Church as well as Deacon Wayne Charlton, a Spiritual Care Provider from the U of M Cancer Center, will officiate and final interment will take place at Bloomer Township Cemetery.
