Patricia H. “Pat” Beckinger age 77 of Glassport, formerly of Duquesne on January 9, 2019. Beloved wife of Jhon Beckinger; loving daughter of Norman and Adelaide (Menzie) Hart who preceded her in death; treasured sister of Micki Hart Faller of Shadyside. Pat received her bachelors degree from the University of Pittsburgh and was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Parish in Duquesne where she taught at Duquesne Catholic School for many years.

Her sixth grade social studies class won a national contest with an essay on Space Bill of Rights. The prize was a visit from an astronaut, Eugene Cernan, the last man to walk on the moon. Pat previously taught at St. Keiran’s School in Lawrenceville and St. Sebastian’s School in the North Hills.

Pat was very devout in her faith and served as Eucharistic minister and lector at St. Joseph Church and at Christ of the Light of the World Parish. This enabled many people to stay connected to their church through her efforts and dedication. Visitation on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave.

, Duquesne 412-466-3300, where her funeral will begin with a Blessing Service at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., on Saturday, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Parish Cemetery.
