OBITUARY Patricia Kathleen McCarthy August 24, 1944 – September 16, 2018 Patricia K. McCarthy of Thiells, NY, 74 years old, passed away peacefully on September 16th, 2018. Patricia was born in the Bronx, NY and moved to Rockland in 1966. She was born on August 24th, 1944 to Patrick and Kathleen Garvin.

She graduated from St. Helena’s High School in the Bronx and married the love of her life, Robert, on June 6th, 1964. Patricia was a registered nurse who worked at Nyack Hospital, where she served as the Head Nurse of the MICU for over 20 years. Patricia enjoyed spending winters in Naples, Florida, with Robert and their many friends.

She lived for her family and friends and would do anything for them. She is survived by her husband, Robert, her daughter Mary Jean, and her son, Patrick, along with her daughters-in-law Kerry and Annie. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael, Shane, Liam, Kaelin, Brayden, and Nolan.

She is also predeceased by her son, Robert, and her son-in-law, Jerry, who both perished on 9/11. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3-8pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, 10am, at St. Gregory’s Church, Garnerville, followed by interment at Ascension Cemetery, Saddle River, NY.
