OBITUARY Patricia Marie Gauntner August 9, 1939 – March 3, 2018 Patricia Marie (McKoon/Hall) Gauntner Patricia Gauntner, 78, of Sun City West, AZ passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 3, 2018 after suffering with dementia for several years, and then heart failure. Born in Jamestown, NY on August 9, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy and Raymond McKoon; she was also preceded in death by her three brothers. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Carl Gauntner.

They were married in Maui, HI August 15, 1981. She is also survived by her son James Hall (TX), daughter Tanya Hall (AL), son David (Rose) Hall (CO), sister Betty Alford (AZ), and step-children: Gary Gauntner (TX), Marilyn Gauntner (Jay Gresham) (NV), Carol (Robert) Earle (OH), Mary Cira (OH), Dan Gauntner (OH), many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In her high school years, she enjoyed roller-skating at the rink near her home in NY; she was a cheerleader at Southwestern High School and graduated in 1957.

She was Miss St. Patrick’s Day in the local Jamestown, NY parade. While raising three children and working two jobs, she found time to enjoy many crafts and hobbies, making beautiful jewelry, cross-stitching, interior decorating, socializing, and traveling with her husband. Patricia had a beautiful smile and easy laugh.

She was loved by many and will always be remembered by her soul mate and sweetheart. The family thanks the caregivers at Sunset Adult Family Home in Surprise, Arizona for her care. A ‘Celebration of Life’ service will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main Street, Ravenna, Ohio.

Visitation: 12-1:00 pm, Service: 1:00 pm (Pastor Hindel, Community Bible Church, Rootstown, OH, officiating), Luncheon: 1:30–3:30 in reception hall at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association and/or American Heart Association in memory of Patricia Gauntner.
