Patricia Joann Riley Carter, passed away at her home in Oakland, TN surrounded by her loved ones on November 22nd, 2018. She was born to the parents of John Thomas Riley and Martha Evelyn Draffin Riley in Memphis, TN on July 30th, 1959. She was preceded in death by both parents, her loving husband Murray “Burnette” Carter, one brother Randall Len Riley, and one sister Judith Marie Fields.

She leaves behind three daughters and one son, Michelle Fly (John) of Memphis, TN, Carrie Owens of Somerville, TN, Mary Fullerton and Frank Carter of Oakland, TN. She also leaves behind two brothers, Jerry Fields (Mabel) of Memphis, TN. and Frank Hill of Angola, LA.

and four sisters, Janet Winchester (Ed) of Lawrence, IN. Mary “Carol” Humphreys (Mark) of Red Banks, MS. Rosalind Nance of Memphis, TN and Lynetta Hill of Angola, LA.

She was also blessed with four granddaughters, Kelsi Jones, Lindsey Murphree, Chelsea Jones, and Gracie Owens, one grandson Michael Carter and one great granddaughter, Evelynn McMurray, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, mother, nana, and friend to many and will always be in our hearts.
