Patrick Henry Murphy was born on May 20, 1964 to Patrick George Murphy and Betty Ann Bergman. Betty would marry Ronald Lee Rutan and they would together raise Patrick and his siblings. Patrick and the family would move cross country from Torrence, California to Iowa whee he attended North High.

Patrick joined the Army and did a 6 year tour. He was stationed in Germany and loved seeing the world. After his time in the Army he joined the Natonal Guard.

Patrick was honorably discharged from both the Army and National Guard. Patrick came home and settled down for a while. He leaned to be an electrician during the war and wondered if a job like could pay?

He worked for EP2 for many years. The light in his eyes were dimmed when he lost Melody Spencer. They had been together for years and when Melody passed away, Patrick was devastated.

But he met his granddaughter and the world was beginning to open make up. . A funeral service for Patrick is being planned for the spring time.
