Patrick “Pat” Gary Moore Sr. November 29, 1941 – January 4, 2019 Patrick (Pat) Gary Moore Sr of Mesa Arizona passed away on January 4th, 2019 at Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa Arizona. Memorial services will be held at 10am on Monday January 7th at Christ’s Greenfield Lutheran Church which is located at 425 North Greenfield Rd, Gilbert AZ 85234. The family will be hosting a luncheon at the Church around 11am following the service to meet with friends and family.

Patrick was born on November 29th, 1941 in Sault St Marie Michigan to Priscilla Lord. He grew up in Sault St. Marie where he attended high school. Following his time there he joined the Navy in June of 1960 where he served 4 years.

While in the Navy Pat spent most of his time on an aircraft carrier called the USS Enterprise and he was honorably discharged in May of 1964. Pat later began to work for General Motors in 1977 and was one of the most hard-working men you could find who prided himself on never missing work. He eventually retired after 32 years and decided to move to Mesa, AZ with his wife Linda.

Pat met his wife Linda in Rochester New York after being discharged from the Navy. They got married on March 18th, 1967 and continued to live in Rochester until they decided to move to Michigan for Pat to begin working at General Motors. Pat and Linda enjoyed 52 long years of marriage and were inseparable until Linda unexpectedly passed away in January of 2018.

Pat was an avid sports fan and particularly enjoyed watching the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers, and the Michigan Wolverines. He was such a big Michigan fan that he eventually enjoyed watching the New England Patriots, just so he could follow Tom Brady who played quarterback for the wolverines before entering the NFL. He also enjoyed telling stories of his past and sharing jokes with friends and family to make them smile.

Pat was preceded in death by his wife Linda Moore, his mother Priscilla Lord, brothers Paul Moore, Art Lord, Al Lord, and his sister Mary Kinyon Lord. Patrick is survived by his sons Mike Moore of Mesa Arizona, Patrick and Kathy Moore Jr of Caro Michigan, and James and LeeAnn Moore of Kansas City Missouri. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren Ken and Beth Moore, Jenn, Sydney, Austin, Kelsey, and Ally Moore and his 6 great grandchildren Austin, Benjamin, Christopher, Tyler, Tristin, Marcus.
