OBITUARY Patsey June Richards June 16, 1939 – December 14, 2018 Patsey (Pat) June Richards passed from this life on to her eternal home December 14, 2018. She was the second of the three children born to James Clayton Wheeler and Mattie Lois Wheeler. Patsey was born June 16, 1939 in Granbury, Texas.

Her sister, Barbara Metker was first born and her brother, James Wheeler was the youngest. According to Patsey’s daughter, she was the hardest working and most loving person she’d ever known. Patsey or ‘June Bug’ as she was sometimes called, had a fantastic memory and could tell you stories about events and people’s names from when she was 5 years old.

Her favorite times in Granbury were those she spent with her grandparents. Patsey worked in customer service for many different companies. Her personality and voice were perfect for greeting customers and helping them find the person or product needed.

However, her favorite job was travelling with her husband, Art Richards on their semi-truck as long haul truck drivers. She loved seeing different parts of the country. She particularly loved trees and enjoyed being anywhere outside with God’s nature.

Her favorite music to listen to was traditional Christian hymns. In her later years, she loved watching Hallmark Christmas movies. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lois Wheeler; her spouse, Art Richards, and her brother, James C. Wheeler.

She is survived by her sister Barbara Metker of Glen Rose, TX; her daughter, Londa Grierson and her husband John Grierson of Frisco; her daughter-in-law, Arti Wright of Ft Collins, CO; her daughter-in-law, Alice Tagg of Denver, Co; and her four grandchildren, David Grierson and his wife, Victoria Grierson, of Nacogdoches, TX; Ben, Matthew, and Ellie Grierson of Frisco, TX. Patsey was loved while she was with us here on earth and we will continue to love her through time and all eternity. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life dinner is planned for Pat on January 5, 2019, from 5:30-7:30pm in Granbury, TX. Please text Londa Grierson for more information 214-784-0687.
