Patsy’s Obituary Patsy Gay “Pat” Rowe, 84, passed into eternal life on Thursday, May 9, 2019, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born February 27, 1935, in Sulphur, OK, a daughter of the late Richard F. and Hazel L. (Bohannon) White. Pat attended Midwestern State University, majoring in Music and Elementary Education, with a concentration on piano.

While attending the University, she was able to teach piano under the supervision of Erno Daniel who had been trained under Bela Bartok. At graduation, Pat was presented the award for outstanding Piano Teacher. She taught in the public school system for two years, before opening her first piano studio.

With her kind and patient disposition, Pat continued to teach piano for many years, sharing her talents and love of music with many children. In September 1957, she married Donald M. “Don” Rowe. Moving to Yukon in 1986, they joined First Baptist Church where they were active members.

Pat served as the church pianist and organist and was the Sunday school teacher for the 4th, 5th and 6th graders for over 25 years. She always considered her ability to teach and mentor young children as a gift from God. Her husband, Don preceded her in death on August 3, 2018.

Pat is survived by sons, Rick Rowe and wife Beth of Yukon, OK and Randy Rowe and companion Stacey Edgar of Tulsa, OK. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 13, 2019, at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, OK.
