Patsy R. Paye, 89, of Urbana, IL, passed away at 5:50 PM, Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. Per Patsy’s request, there will be no services. Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd.

, Urbana, is assisting the family with arrangements. Patsy was born November 13, 1928 in Decatur, IL, a daughter of Sterling and Glova(Bell) Miller. She married Herbert D. Paye, Jr. on May 7, 1949.

He preceded her in death in 2013. Survivors include a daughter, Candace(Gordon) Boehm of Danville, IL and a son, Gil Paye of Urbana, IL; Two grandsons, Gordon Matthew Boehm and Jason David Boehm. Also surviving are three nieces, Linda, Cheri and Pat and 2 nephews, Richard and Steve; and a special cousin, Doris(Delbert) Copple of Centralia, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband a sister, Dorothy and a brother, John. Patsy was a homemaker and also worked as a secretary for Jos. Kuhn & Co., Brown and Brown, the University of Illinois African Studies Department, and the University of Illinois Art Department.
