Obituary for Paul Christopher Karrais Paul Christopher Karrais, prominent machinist for Karrais Machine and Tool died Saturday morning November 24th in the early hours. He was 61 years old. Paul Christopher Karris was born on a cold rainy day on November 10th 1957 to Paul Franz Karrais and Jaqueline Small Karrais.
Soft spoken and obsessive by nature Paul could build anything he put his mind to. He was a rancher, caregiver, machinist, brother and a son. Paul was also someone who loved to see what was always on the other side of the fence.
Traveling every chance he could get; meeting new people along the way. Paul clung to the notion that life was not a series of meaningless accidents or coincidence rather, its a tapestry of events that culminate in an exquisite, sublime plan. Paul was a wizard of words and never left a question posed to him unanswered.
He was also a friend to anyone that would welcome his company. Paul may have been a native of Detroit, but his heart was on the ranch in Rochelle Texas where he had moved in 1976 at the young age of 19. He learned from his father to build and to be thorough with whatever he did in life.
To take things seriously, even the smallest of tasks was just as important as the big ones. He learned from his mother to be respectful to all and to be prompt at whatever he did. He held those same values until his last breath, when he closed his eyes at his beloved ranch and opened them in heaven.
We should all strive to live the life Paul lived. Be kind to everyone, don’t sweat the small things. Never forget to say “I love you” it’s missed moments that cause regret.
Paul always had a great outlook on life, even after his diagnoses showed no hope. Paul wrote this before his passing solidifying his walk with God. “I don’t give up easily, but I have also lived a good life with many blessings, many people have died much younger than I, so I will do what I can and leave the rest up to God”.
