Obituary for Mr. Paul Edward Fritzsching Paul Edward Fritzsching, 91, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away at home surrounded by family on May 14, 2018. A memorial service will be held at Blessing Funeral Home at 9:30 am on Friday May 18th followed by grave site services at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. Wesley King, Deacon at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church officiating.

Paul was born at home on January 3, 1927, in Houston, Texas, the youngest of 7 children to Fredrich Ernst and Katherine Rothenberger Fritzsching, (German Descent). He was raised in Houston, graduated from Aldine High School and later joined the US Army where he proudly served as surgical technician on a medical ship in the South Pacific during World War II. Upon returning from the service, Paul married Bettye Jo (Biddle) in 1951 and together raised an only child (Paula Carol).

As a proud husband and father, Paul framed the family life with solid Christian following and served on numerous committees at Memorial Baptist Church in Houston. Paul’s most current church home was Walnut Ridge Baptist Church in Mansfield, Texas. As a young man, Paul had an immense passion for classic automobiles and at the age of 17 he purchased his first ride; a 1928 “Model A” Ford, and as his interest and enthusiasm for cars strengthen, he acquired several other classics throughout his life.

His love for cars propelled his inspiration to build a career in the auto/parts industry working for General Motors and which later culminated into him moving on and becoming a successful business owner (Comet Automotive Supply) specializing in the distribution of General Motors products; serving major accounts in the Houston and surrounding area. In addition, he was an avid sports fan (Oilers and Astros), loved flying, traveling, and most of all spending quality time with all his family and friends. Paul is survived by Bettye Jo, his wife of 67 years, daughter Paula Moers and son-in-law Greig Moers of Mansfield, Texas his three grandchildren, Jennifer Moers of Maui, Hawaii, Greigory Moers of Mansfield, Christy Jo Moers of Arlington, Texas and great grandson, Mason Rabanal of Maui, Hawaii.
