Paul Frederick Oppy went home to be with the Lord Friday, November 16, 2018 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. He was born August 8, 1932 in Henley, Ohio to Fred and Iva Rawlins Oppy. Paul drove for Reinhardt Transfer Company for 32 years.

He was a member of Free Will Baptist church and as a Minister he pastored churches in Ohio, Florida, Arkansas, and Alabama. Paul is survived by his children, son Larry Dean Oppy and wife, Sandy of Wheelersburg; daughters, Nadene Roberts and husband Charles of Middleburg, FL, Priscilla Stiles of Newark, OH, Barbie Sowards and husband Michael of Amelia, OH; brother, Roger and wife Brenda of Wheelersburg; sisters, Fern Ginn of Washington Courthouse, Sharon Shuff and husband Dell of Wheelersburg; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Bauer Oppy; daughter, Donna Oppy; five brothers, Eldon, Earl, Carl, Lester, and Pearl; brother-in-law, Donald Ginn; sisters-in-law, Irene Oppy and Janelle Oppy.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2018 at Bloom Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Kenny Klaiber officiating. Interment will follow at South Webster Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 4 – 7 p.m. at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
