Virnoche, age 83, resident of Two Rivers, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. Paul was born in Two Rivers on September 14, 1935 to Paul and Viola (Schaden) Virnoche, Sr He attended St. Luke’s Catholic Grade School and Two Rivers Washington High School, graduating with the class of 1953.
Paul then furthered his education at Marquette University-School of Engineering. On July 28, 1956, he married Nancy A. Emond at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Two Rivers. She preceded him in death on August 18, 1998.
He then married Judy (Levanetz) Jonas on June 5, 1999 at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Northeim. Paul and Judy enjoyed many years traveling in their RV during their retirement years. Many of the trips to visit and spend time with family.
Paul was employed as an engineer with Hamilton’s, Paragon, and Polarware; and retired in sales from the Palmer Company. He had a great love for dogs (and most animals); a passion for making hand-crafted woodwork, which he did in his shop, along with enjoying building and remodeling. He enjoyed deer hunting, both archery and gun; and had a love of the water and the great outdoors.
Paul was also a member of the Clipper City Chordsmen for 44 years. Survivors include his wife, Judy Jonas-Virnoche; his seven children, Tracy (Laurie) Virnoche of Manitowoc, Jay (Pam) Virnoche, Kirkland, WA, Dana Skarda (special friend, Dennis Gaber) of Brookfield, Gregg (Micki) Virnoche of Two Rivers, Todd (Tammy) Virnoche of Arlington, TX, Philip (Angie) Virnoche of Spokane Valley, WA, Tony Virnoche (special friend, Shauna Fruzen) of Manitowoc; and three step-children: Lee (Jill) Jonas of Lexington, KY, Jill (Perry) Hayes of Middleton, Kalyn (Kurt) Jansen of Manitowoc; his grandchildren: Hailey (Mark) Meske, Mackenzie Virnoche and special friend, Zach Radey, Evan (Kaylie) Virnoche, Katie (Keegan) Jones, Justin Lonzo and special friend, Janine Facer, Craig Lonzo and fiance’, Whitney Isenhart, Lauren (Dan) Hynds, Michael (Allison) Virnoche, Ashley Virnoche and special friend, Emily Behm, Josh (Jessica) Virnoche, Nick Virnoche and special friend, Emily Record, Nathan Virnoche, Victoria Virnoche, Ryan Virnoche, Kevin Virnoche, Oliver Hayes, Kyle Jonas, Connor (Cori) Jonas, Lizza Jonas, Raelyn (Bryan) Landgraf, Justine (Tyson) Coburn, Abbey (Dereck) Pawlitzke, Brian Sonnenberg and Alex Sonnenberg and special friend, Jill; along with fifteen great-grandchildren. He is further survived by two brothers, Robert (Diane) Virnoche of Syracuse, NY and Mike (Judy) Virnoche of Manitowoc; four brothers-in-law: Jeff (Nancy) Levanetz, Rhinelander, Jon (Judy) Levanetz and Jerry (Gail) Levanetz, all of Two Rivers, Leon Tomchek of Fond du Lac; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Vi Virnoche; his father & mother-in-law, Victor and Sophia Emond; his first wife, Nancy; one son, Scot Christopher Virnoche; and a sister, Kathie Tomchek. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd. , Two Rivers.
Burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. There will be no Friday evening visitation. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.
