A much-loved husband, father and grandpa, Paul (Ricky) Parker, 64 of Knoxville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 19, 2018. Ricky served with the ARMY National Guard for 18 years, which included IRAQI Freedom 278th/117 Platoon out of Athens, TN and received an honorable discharge in April 2012. He also had a career in petroleum truck driving.

He was born on December 31st, 1953, and baptized at an early age as Presbyterian. He was a graduate of Scott High 1972. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Parker.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cathy Parker of Knoxville; daughter Jenny Smith and husband JT Smith of Knoxville; son Richie Parker of Knoxville; son Brad Parker of Maryville; grandkids: Kayleigh Paige and Parker James of Knoxville; sister Deanna ton of Oneida; sister Linay ton of Sunbright; many other relatives and friends. Ricky’s request was cremation. Friends may visit with the Parker family on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 6 p.m. until time of the memorial service at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donates can be made to the Shiner’s Hospital for Children (shrinershospitalsforchildren.org). Jones & Son Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Paul (Ricky) Parker.
