Paula June Watson June 30, 1952 – March 20, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences Paula June Watson, 66, went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. Funeral: 10 a.m., Monday at Northside Baptist Church, Weatherford. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m, Sunday at White’s Funeral Home, Weatherford.

There will also be a Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m, Thursday at Christ Church Chapel, Plano. Interment: There will be a private interment at Poe Prairie Cemetery, Millsap. Paula was born June 30, 1952 to James Duane “J.D.” and JuanEtta Lamb Gilbert.

She was valedictorian of both Millsap High School and Weatherford College. She attended Texas Tech University, completing her Bachelor of Secondary Education in Science degree. Paula was a member of Alpha Phi sorority.

She then attained a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at UT Health Science Center, Dallas. She married the love of her life, Rick Watson, on February 20, 1993. They welcomed their son, Luke, and committed their joy and love to raising him.

She dedicated her career to serving advanced physical therapy patients for 42 years. Her hobbies included her passions for essential oils, handmade cards, calligraphy, and being a devout Christian. Paula was an accomplished pianist.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Duane “J.D.” Gilbert. Survivors: Husband, Rick Watson; son, Luke Watson; step-son, Bradley (Jessica); mother, JuanEtta Lamb Gilbert; mother-in-law, Eunice Watson; sisters, Jenny Evans, Valarie Gilbert, and Gloria Barron; nieces and nephews, Brandon (Cindi), Jamison (Jennifer), Brittany, Blake, Matthew, John-Michael, Shaye, Miley, Kason, and Remi Grace; dearest friends, Donna and Elaine; and her beloved Virtues Sisters in Christ.
