She was born in Florence County, SC on February 27, 1927 to the Late George Borey and Mary Cusack Hyman. At an early age, Pauline accepted Christ and joined Mill Branch A.M.E. Church.
She attended the public schools of Florence County, SC. As a young woman, she moved to Philadelphia, PA where she met and married Mr. Hansley Brinson, who preceded her in death. While in Philadelphia, PA, Pauline was employed by Bonwit Teller retail store and Genesco, Inc
She attended Elwood Community Methodist Church where she served on several auxiliaries. After retiring, she moved back home to South Carolina. She renewed her membership with Mill Branch, where served as a stewardess and was a faithful member until her health declined.
Beside her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother? Amos S. Hyman. Pauline leaves to cherish her memories: One sister and her caregiver Alma Lee Davis of Pamplico, SC; one step-son, Hansley Johnson ( Barbara) of Wilmington, NC; two step-daughters, Elizabeth Ann Arthur of Vineland, NJ and Portia Seles of Orlando, FL; Two brothers-in-law, Louis Brinson ( Zelphia Ray) of Rocky Point, NC and Lesley Brinson ( Jean) of Leland, NC; two sisters -in- law, Evangeline McGee ( Willie ) And Primmie Lee Brinson both of Wilmington, NC; two godchildren William Hansley Davis and Kelvin Bernard Davis of Pamplico, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
