Pauline M. Jordan, 84 of Webster Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at her home with her family by her side. She was born August 17, 1933 in Webster County to Albert and Icie Hines Tanner and was a lifelong resident of Webster County. Pauline and her husband owned and operated the Webster Springs Hotel and Restaurant and attended New Hope Church.

She was always willing to help and to love. She cooked for EVERYONE and was a mother and grandmother to everyone, no matter if you were related or not. Her children and grandchildren were her everything.

She enjoyed flowers, canning, and singing in the gospel group. Pauline is survived by her children Joyce Jordan, Gary (companion Shawna Short) Jordan, Wayne (wife Jennifer) Jordan, Trish (husband Rodney) Postalwait, Crystal (husband Rick) Smith, and Charles “Chuck” (companion Linda Myers) Jordan; brother Floyd Tanner Jr.; twin brother Paul (wife Ruth) Tanner; grandchildren Gary (Sheena) Jordan, II, Anthony (wife Sherry) Jordan, Stephen Postalwait, Michael Burnside, Zachary (Shelby) Jordan, Zarron Jordan, Brandy (Seth) Bostic, Chantel Merritt, Jeff (companion Jennifer) Miller, Sheena (Trevor) Jordan, BJ (Stephanie) Smith, Cody (companion Megan) Smith, Charlie Jordan, Chelsie Jordan, Jonathon and Josh Clay, and Josh Scranage; great-grandchildren Presley Jordan, Gary Jordan, III, Brooklyn Tolley, Bryson Zinn, Conner Merritt, Jessalynn Jordan, Gavin Smith, Brennon Smith, Kaleb Clark, Delilah, Peyton, and Michael Burnside, Malachi Jordan, and Kynlee Jordan; her dog Honey Bear; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 64 years Gueard Jordan; daughter Katherine Jordan; granddaughter Stephanie Postalwait; brothers Howard, Lester, Hurley, and Harley Tanner; and sister Bethel Myrl Channell.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Pauline’s life will be held at 2:00 PM with Pastor Austin Lynch officiating. Interment will follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Hacker Valley.
