Pearl Etie December 02, 1934 – May 17, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Pearl Etie will be at 10 am on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in the Spanish Lake Community. Burial will follow at St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Tuesday the 21st at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held during the hours of visitation on the 21st in the funeral home chapel. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Ricky LaCaze, Raylan LaCaze, Jonathan Garcie, James Garcie, Jeffrey Flores, and Chad Garcie. Pearl, 84 years of age, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019, in Natchitoches.

She was born on December 2, 1934, to Johnny and Leola Morvan Davis in Natchitoches Parish. She was preceded in death by her husband A.J. “Chief” Etie; her parents, Johnny and Leola Morvan Davis; a daughter, Sonya Campbell; and siblings, Johnnie Lee Bass, Lucy Davis Flores, Jr. Davis, Leon Davis,and Eloise Davis Wheeler. Pearl truly loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and working in her garden.

She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She and her husband were owners of The Lighthouse Restaurant near Zwolle, LA where they made many life-long friends. Pearl always had a game of solitaire being played at the kitchen table and her love for cards lead her to deal blackjack at a local casino.

She was a caring mother, sister, and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Niette; grandchildren, Chad, Jonathan, Heidi, Crystal, and Shane; siblings, Nellie Davis, Charlotte French, Andrew Davis, and Isadore Davis; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family would like to say a big thank you, to Hospice of Natchitoches, and Natchitoches Community Care.
