OBITUARY Peggy Amos Hiatt Gilley March 20, 1939 – December 14, 2018 Peggy Amos Hiatt Gilley of Collinsville departed this life on Friday, December 14, 2018, at Stanleytown Health Care. She was born on March 20, 1939 to Oscar Amos and Lucile Adkins Amos, both deceased. In addition to her parents, she was also pre-deceased by her first husband, Bill Hiatt, and a sister, Lois Myers.

Mrs. Gilley is survived by her husband; Hamon R. Gilley, of the home, one daughter; Pam Slate of Oregon, one son; Randy Hiatt, one grandson; Hunter Hiatt, of Collinsville, one sister; Ruby Amos Meyers of Martinsville, one brother; Edwin Amos of Martinsville, three sisters-in-law; Carlyne Bondurant (Howard), Lois Turner, of Henry County, and Nancy Biggs (Bob) of Roanoke, as well as three nephews and two nieces. Peggy worked for 25 plus years as bookkeeper and secretary for her brother, Edwin, in the auto parts business. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Collinsville and loved her church family.

Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Collinsville on Sunday, December 16th, with visitation at 1:00 P.M. and the funeral to follow at 2:00 P.M. The service will be conducted by Pastor Larry Cheek and Mark Ivey. Private burial service held at Roselawn Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, you may choose to make a donation in memory of Peggy to, First Baptist Church of Collinsville, 3339 Virginia Avenue, Collinsville, VA 24078.

The family would like to thank the staff of Stanleytown Health Care for the excellent care given to Peggy during her final days. Gilley, Husband Pam Slate, Daughter Randy Hiatt, Son Hunter Hiatt, Grandson Lois Myers, Sister Ruby Amos Myers, Sister Edwin Amos, Brother Carlyne Bondurant (Howard), Sister-in-law Lois Turner, Sister-in-law Nancy Biggs (Bob), Sister-in-law Mrs. Gilley also leaves behind three nephews and two nieces to cherish her memory.
