Peggy Darnell, 84, of Independence, MS passed away September 20, 2018 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Darnell. She is survived by her daughters, Renee Gordon (Bobby) and Rebecca Dickerson of Looxahoma, MS; sons, Paul Darnell (Ramona) of Independence, MS and Tommy Darnell (Nancy) of Senatobia, MS; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Darnell was a dedicated member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, The Baddour Center or the Lupus Foundation.
