OBITUARY Peggy Joan Black January 11, 1956 – January 4, 2019 Peggy Joan Black, age 62 of Commerce Twp. , MI passed away peacefully on January 4, 2019. She was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on January 11, 1956 to James W. Black and Helen R. Black.

She married Paul Arthur Corsa on May 2, 1981. Paul preceded Peggy in death. Peggy graduated Wayne State University where she received her Bachelor’s degree and Walsh College where she earned her MSF.

Peggy was an Advanced Toast Master. She was President of Michigan Economic Developers Association. Peggy was a Principal Account Manager in Economic Development for DTE Energy.

Her father and grandfather both worked for Detroit Edison offering a combined total of over a 100 years of service to this company. She served as the first Executive Director of the Michigan Site Network. Peggy was a master gardener and enjoyed working for hours in her beautiful garden.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and helping others in anyway possible. Peggy lovingly volunteered for the Salvation Army and the Hospitality House Food Pantry. Peggy graduated with top honors earning a B.S. in humor and a Master’s in thoughtfulness as witnessed by all her family and friends.

Peggy is survived by her sister Cynthia Heideman and her brother James L. Black. She was a wonderful aunt to James C. Black, Angela Griffin, Heidi Roth and Kimberly Vasquez. She was also adored by 8 great nieces and nephews.

Peggy was blessed by many caring friends who have sustained her through out life. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. “Do unto Others as you would have them do unto you” Matthew 7: 12.
