Obituary for Peggy Trout Peggy Trout, 71, of Johnston City, passed away in arms of her Savior at 6:42 p.m., Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Barnes-Jewish Hospice Facility (Evelyn’s House) in Creve Coeur, Missouri. Peggy was born February 23, 1947 in Marion to Loren Carl “Preach” and Sylvia Pearl (Harris) Anderson. She married Larry Ray Trout on December 26, 1964 in Johnston City.

They have shared nearly 54 years of marriage together. Peggy was retired having been city treasurer for Johnston City for 18 years. She was also a bookkeeper for First Bank for several years.

She was a life long member of the First Baptist Church in Johnston City. She was a 1964 graduate of Johnston City High School. Peggy loved to go shopping with her two daughters and granddaughters.

She also loved to decorate her home and was a great organizer. She also enjoyed reading. Her greatest passion in life was spending time with her family.

She was the rock that kept her family together. Peggy is survived by her husband, Larry Trout of Johnston City, two daughters, Tonya (David) Flatt of Geneva, Illinois, Kristi (Jason) Collins of St. Peters, MO; five grandchildren, Lauren, Katherine and Anna Flatt of Geneva and Emily and Andrew Collins of St. Peters; brother, Lindell (Merilee) Anderson of Johnston City; brother-in-law, Danny (Glenda) Trout of Herrin; special nieces and nephews, Phil (Karen) Anderson, Tricia (Mark) Seely, Missy (Joey) Winn and Daniel (Kelley) Trout. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Johnston City with Rev. Larry Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in Becker Cemetery near Johnston City.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Monday at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City. Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City is entrusted with the arrangements. Memorials may be made the First Baptist Church or the Johnston City Library.
