He is preceded in death by Father: Thomas Yzquierdo; Mother: Herminia Garcia; Brothers: Thomas Yzquierdo Jr & Juan Yzquierdo; Sister: Norma Y. Weber. Perry is survived by; Son: Perry Yzquierdo Jr.; Daughter: Erica Yzquierdo; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Perry Yzquierdo was born in San Antonio, TX on May 25, 1963 to Thomas and Herminia Yzquierdo. He is the baby of the family and had 2 brothers, Thomas Yzquierdo Jr, Juan Yzquierdo, and his favorite and only sister Norma Y. Weber whom he loved so very much. Growing up Perry was outgoing, loved playing sports, and above all, loved hanging out with his neighborhood friends.

After Perry graduated from Edgewood High School in 1981 he decided to follow in his father and brothers footsteps and enlisted into the US military where he served for the US Army. Immediately after Basic Training he came home to marry his high school sweetheart, Ruby A. Yzquierdo where they traveled frequently for his job and during that time they had 2 children, his joy, Erica Yzquierdo and his pride, Perry Yzquierdo Jr He served for Operation Desert Storm and it was after serving there that he decided to Honorably Discharge from the military to be close with his family and friends.

Later in life Perry and Ruby would decide to separate but they remained friends until the very end and their children are very grateful for that. During Perry’s older years, he enjoyed spending time with his sister, Norma and brother in law Greg along with their 2 children, Tabita and Moses. Like his father, he loved shooting pool and was part of numerous leagues where he made many lifelong friends.

He enjoyed barbequing on the weekends, watching sports, especially the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys, fishing at Corpus, going to festivals and was very full of life until the very end. Today, it’s clear to see that Perry was very loved, he will be missed by many, and we know his heart would be full seeing everyone that has expressed their sympathy. Until we meet again, we know he’s exactly where he wanted to be in the end… Worry free, pain free, and with his family up in Heaven probably enjoying a cookout and fishing.

The family welcomes all to come and celebrate a wonderful man and to pay tribute to Perry Yzquierdo, services are as follows: Monday – March 11, 2019: Visitation 4-9pm at Texas Funeral Home Chapel, 2702 Castroville Rd. , San Antonio, Texas 78237 with a rosary being recited at 7pm.

Tuesday – March 12, 2019: Visitation 8-9am at Texas Funeral Home Chapel, departing 9:30am to St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 747 SW 39th Street, San Antonio, Texas 78237 for a 10:00am Mass. Graveside services 11:30am at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd.
