Pete C. Palma, 75, of Westridge Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Landsun Homes. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, December 21, 2018 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Boyd officiating.

Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Pete C. Palma was born November 3, 1943 in Marfa, Texas to Celso Fierro and Isabell (Cabazuella) Palma. He attended school in Artesia and moved to Carlsbad in 1977. Pete worked for Mississippi Chemical Co. over 25 years before retiring.

He enjoyed hunting with his sons and working but most of all Pete loved being with his kids and grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents; great-grandson, Jayce Palma; brothers: Trini Palma, Sean Orosco and Ralph Orosco. Survivors are his children: Phil Palma and wife, Charla of Carlsbad, NM, John Paul Palma and wife, Patti of Rimrock, Arizona, Christina Montoya and husband, Raul of Carlsbad, NM, Michael Palma of Kansas City, Kansas; grandchildren: Josh Palma, Jordan Palma, Jason Palma, Brianna Montoya, Ashlynn Palma, Cheyanne Lewis, Tailynn Nesbit, Gaige Palma and Syerra Blood; great-grandchildren: Jaydon, Aubrey, Brooklyn, Kason, Karter, Dallas, Austin, Aiken, Luke and Chanley; brother, Manuel Palma and numerous nieces and nephews.
