LITTLE FALLS – Peter F. Koziol, 70 of the Snells Bush Road, Little Falls, (Town of Manheim) passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare, New Hartford, NY. He was born on December 21, 1948 in Little Falls the son of the late Peter and Maryann (Ucasz) Koziol. He was a graduate of Little Falls High School class of 1967 as well as a graduate of SUNY Morrisville Class of 1975 where received his degree as an Automotive Technician.

Pete was a veteran of the US Navy. Entering the service on September 15, 1970. He was honorably discharged as a Machinist Mate Third Class on February 25, 1972.

On September 16, 1978 he was united in marriage to his wife of 40 years the former Susan (Sue) Palmer at the First United Methodist Church, Little Falls. He was a member of the Little Falls American Legion Post # 31, Little Falls Polish Community Home, Dolgeville Rod & Gun Club, the Owls Club, Danube and a past member of the Little Falls Elks Lodge # 42, B.P.O.E. An avid hunter, fisherman and car enthusiast, he also enjoyed riding his motorcycles and tractors and was especially proud of his gardening skills.

Pete was employed as an industrial electrician by the Penatryn Systems Co., Latham, NY, General Electric, Utica, Salada Foods Co, Little Falls and last by the Indeck Co., later NRG until his retirement in 2008 from that company after 18 years of service. He is survived by his wife Sue, his son Peter P. Koziol and his companion Ashley Mancini, Oriskany, his daughter Cynthia Koziol-White and her husband Daniel, Long Valley, NJ, his sister, Victoria Best and his niece, Adrienne Best both of Schenectady and many other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. There are no calling hours. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Pete be considered to the Herkimer County Humane Society, PO Box 73, Mohawk, NY 13407.

Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
