Loving father of Mary Jean Sheridan, Peter J. Ackerman, Denise Miron, and the late John A. Ackerman. Cherished grandfather of 7 and great-grandfather of 4. Dear brother of Florence Romaine, the late Albert Ackerman, and the late Robert Bingham.

Visitation Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Fives Smithtown Funeral Home, 31 Landing Avenue, Smithtown. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10:30AM at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Kings Park. Entombment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
