Philip Roger Wilson, 76, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at his residence. Born on June 20, 1942 in Lawrence County, Ohio, Roger was the son of the late Amos B. and Lucille Kingery Wilson. On November 13, 1965, Roger married Karen G. Slagle Wilson in Waterloo, Ohio.

For 45 years, Roger was a heavy equipment operator for Tamarack Excavating in Columbus. During the last eight years, he was a cleaner for Capital Crosswoods. Roger loved deer hunting.

Wilson of Columbus, Ohio; daughter, Vicki (Clyde) Caldwell of Croton, Ohio; grandsons, David (Lauren Craig) Caldwell of Sunbury, Ohio and Tyler (Amanda ) Caldwell of Heath, Ohio; great granddaughters Cynthia Caldwell and Samantha Craig; siblings, Keith (Sandra) Wilson, Karen Mannon, Michael Wilson, David Wilson, and Leland (Donna) Wilson all of Scottown, and Lesa (Michael) Means of Leon, West Virginia; several nieces and nephews; and in-laws. The funeral service for Roger will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Willis Funeral Home with Reverend William Goodall officiating. Burial will follow in Brethern Cemetery in Lawrence County, Ohio.
