Philip’s Obituary Andrzejek, Philip W. Age 84 of Robbinsdale, passed away unexpectedly May 6, 2019. Survived by wife Connie; sons Michael, John & Matthew (Margie); grandchildren Jake, Alec, Alex, James, Gabriel, Elias, Mary, Samuel, Isaac and Joseph. Siblings Mary Sterzinger, Jim and Richard Andrzejek and Caroline Nuytten.

Preceded in death by brothers Stanley and Patrick Andrzejek. Philip was born Oct 17, 1934 in Ivanhoe, MN, where he worked in his dad’s store. With one Merit to go for his Eagle Scout Award, Phil left to work the Iron Range to save for college.

He attended Virginia Jr. College and then transferred to the University of Minnesota where he earned Mechanical Engineering and Economics degrees. He met his bride-to-be, Connie Lovin at a dance at the Newman Center. He lovingly referred to Connie as “Sweetie-Pie” throughout their marriage, and Connie loved it.

His favorite song was “Sweet Georgia Brown” and he and Connie loved to dance together. Philip worker for Control Data, 3M, Univac and retired from N.S.P. after many years. He loved hunting and especially coaching the neighborhood kids in hockey and baseball.

He loved his family and was proud of his sons and grandchildren. He was devout in his Catholic Faith and attended daily Mass. The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Sam Spears.

Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Friday, May 10 at the Church of the Sacred Heart, 4087 W. Broadway, Robbinsdale. Visitation 5-7 PM Thursday with 6 PM rosary at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway and Friday at church one hour before Mass. Interment Gethsemane.
