Obituary for Phillip Glen Benton Phillip G. Benton, age 66, of Henderson, KY passed away on January 1, 2019 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY after complications from surgery. Phillip was born on September 16, 1952 to Charles and Mary Benton. He was a graduate of Henderson City High and Henderson Community College.

Phillip attended Community Baptist Church. He was a professional welder and owned his own business at one time. In addition to his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by his nephew, Jeremy Benton.

Phillip is survived by his best friend Mary Lee Johnston, his son Phillip Benton and his wife Meredith of Louisville, KY, two grandchildren; Tyler and Elizabeth, his brother Jerry Benton and his wife Audrey of Henderson, KY, and three nephews; Josh, Jared and Jason all of Henderson, KY. Relatives and friends are invited to Phillip’s Life Celebration from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019 and again on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the service time at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Tim Hobbs officiating.

Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Community Baptist Church, 1026 Pebble Creek Dr, Henderson, KY 42420.
