OBITUARY Phyllis Ann Hoots November 9, 1945 – January 27, 2019 Phyllis Ann Hoots, 74, born November 9, 1945 in Galveston, Texas, passed away on January 27, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 1:00p.m. at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel, 6001 Rufe Snow Dr., Fort Worth, TX. Phyllis was lovingly known as Ann to her family and friends.

She was born to parents, Odis and Mandy Hoots and was one of three children. She moved with her family to Fort Worth and considered herself a native. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and always had a passion for gardening. She was a long time employee of Waffle House, where she considered her co-workers her family. She was always supportive and had a special bond with those she worked with and her customers.

Ann was a caregiver, always giving of her time to care for others and help those in need. Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother and sister.

She is survived by her children, Jimmy Carney, Jessy Carney, Miriam Carney Santoro, and Jonathan Carney; grandchildren, Jimmy Carney, Joshua Carney, Jami Carney, Devret Santoro, Vinnie Santoro, Mia Santoro, Brayden Carney, Kealen Carney, Teagan Carney, and a great-granddaughter, Tatum Ragon.
