Obituary for Phyllis Dawn Jordan Christensen Phyllis Christensen peacefully passed away May 30th, 2018. Phyllis was born December 20th, 1927 to Bill and DeEsta Jordan in Heber City and grew up in the Heber valley, graduating Valedictorian from Wasatch High School May 24th, 1946. After graduation, Phyllis attended the University of Utah before marrying her High School sweet heart, Garold H. Christensen February 14th, 1947 in the Salt Lake City Temple.

Phyllis is the mother of four children: Joy Arscott, Cheryl (Vaun) Bethers, Paul (Karen) Christensen, and Jan (Val) Gines. Phyllis was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in many positions. She served in the community and taught young women various skills in the 4H program.

Phyllis was generous, giving of her time, talents, and res. Phyllis enjoyed traveling and has traveled the world. Phyllis was owner of the Holliday Lanes bowling alley and was famous for her pies, she loved to dance and play cards with friends, she was an avid Utah Jazz fan and received an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Utah Valley University.

Phyllis loves her family and is preceded in death by her loving husband Garold, brother Allen, daughter Joy, and parents Bill and DeEsta. She leaves behind 15 Grandchildren, 42 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Phyllis is survived by her brother Clift (Jane) Jordan, Sister Joyce (Anthony) Burns, Sister In-Law Sharon Jordan, Brother In-Law Russell Christensen, and many Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.

A Viewing will be held Sunday, June 10th from 6-8pm and again on Monday June 11th from 9:30 – 10:30am. Funeral Services will be held Monday June 11th, 2018 at 11:00am. All services will be held at the Cobblestone meeting house (1661 East 980 South, Heber City, UT.

84032). Interment will follow at the Heber City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made in Phyllis’s name to the Hope Lodge at www.
