Phyllis Knight Smith, 81, passed away March 7, 2019. A native of Vermilion County, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Ruth Roberts Knight, a retired educator and CPA, and was a member of Golden Strip Church of Christ. Surviving are her husband, Clyde F. Smith of the home; one daughter, Paula Scott of Taylors; one son, Roger Smith of Franklin, Tennessee; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2019 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Dr. Walter D. Zorn. Burial will be in Sterns Cemetery, Muncie, Illinois. Honorary escort will be Ed Nunnely, Dale Midyette, Ray Corradi, Charles Savageau, Marcus Williams, Michael Rowan, Bob Sattler and Ed Townsend.

Visitation will be held 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. The family is at the home. Online condolences may be made at www.
