Shirley Mahaffey Waldrop, 73, widow of Larry A. Waldrop, passed away on February 27, 2019. A native of Greenville County, daughter of Edith Waters Dean of Lyman and the late Thomas James Mahaffey, Sr., she was a retired employee of Tindall Corporation and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are nieces and nephews, Tracy Quinn (Robbie) of Lyman, Shane Blackwell (Leah) of Greer, Joni Mahaffey of Greer, Jay Mahaffey (Amanda) of Greer and George Mahaffey of Greer and several great-nephews.

Mrs. Waldrop was predeceased by two brothers, Michael Mahaffey and Thomas “Tommy” James Mahaffey, Jr.; one sister, Mary Sue Blackwell; one nephew, Todd Blackwell and a special friend, Jack Thompson. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Hillcrest Memory Gardens conducted by Mr. Bil Parker. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at The Wood Mortuary.
