Phyllis Lee Funk, 84, of Carterville, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019, at Herrin Hospital. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2019, at Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy, Illinois.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Francis Animal Care in Murphysboro or to Vincent Erato Foundation, 2156 South 77 Street, West Allis, WI 53219. Phyllis was born on July 24, 1934, in Quincy, Illinois, to Ralph and Virginia (Roath) Miller. She is survived by her son, Greg (Dawn) Funk; grandchildren, Madelyn and Mackenzie Funk; brother, Dean Miller; nephew, Tim Miller; and great-niece, Jennica Weets.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and son, Michael Funk. She worked for GTE and later retired from Verizon. .
