Preston E. Barnes age 67 of Alford passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in Dothan, Alabama. He was a native of Jackson County, born on December 25, 1951 to the late Henry and Bobbie Kent Barnes. Preston was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed all types of woodworking.

He loved to spend time with his family and friends and looked forward to his annual Christmas Party. Preston was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Jeff Barnes and one sister, Alice Annette Barnes. He is survived by one son, Joshua Brandon Barnes; siblings, Joe Barnes, Donald Barnes, Debbie Diann Walters, Gary Barnes, and Steve Barnes.

Preston is also survived by numerous cousins and other family members. Memorialization will be by cremation. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
