Preston Michael Adkins, age 41, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away unexpectedly and tragically Tuesday May 21, 2019 when he was struck by a train near Bellefontaine. Preston was preceded in death by his grandparents, Moreen and Robert Banks as well as his paternal father, Steven Adkins. Preston was born January 11, 1978, the son of Sharon Banks Harpest.

Preston is survived by his mother and step-father, Sharon and Tim Harpest; two step-sisters; his two sons, Chase Prall and Landon Adkins as well as his longtime girlfriend Jennifer Hanley. Preston loved to fish and loved and supported the local music scene. He was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan and was convinced that each year was a Super Bowl year.

Preston had a way of connecting people to each other. He loved to laugh with you and was a very reful and supportive friend. P was not flashy and cared about the quality of life.

He was always looking for the solution and always trying to figure things out. He will be dearly missed. Preston’s memorial service will be held at 7:30 P.M. Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Bellefontaine First Friends Church in Bellefontaine with ample parking behind the church at 805 W. Sandusky Ave.
