Preston R. Wagner September 23, 2000 – December 19, 2018 Preston R. Wagner, 18, of Middlefield, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, December 19, 2018. Preston was born in New Haven, September 23, 2000, a son of Scott Wagner of Pennsylvania and Kimberly Neilander and her husband Edmond of Middlefield. Preston attended Coginchaug Regional High School in Durham and was currently working toward his EMT license.

He was a self-taught musician, who loved music, playing the guitar and was an avid skier. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings Leah Wagner, Cole Neilander, Emma Neilander; his maternal grandparents Diane Mavricz, Richard Mavricz and Nancy DeRosa; his paternal grandparents Rondi and Sonny Wagner; his aunts and uncles Brian and Jamie DeRosa, Chris DeRosa, Lisa Hanzl, Darrell Neilander, and Robin Neilander; many cousins; and friends. He was predeceased by his uncle Richard Mavricz.

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext. , Thursday, December 27, 2018, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in The Wallingford Funeral Home. Interment will be in Middlefield Cemetery.
